SCOUT SHOWING IGNORANCE TOWARDS WALTER
Showing her ignorance by failing to understand the Walter`s situation, Scout assertively humiliates him. Instead of respecting the fact Walter comes from a poor family and is unaware of the elements of a proper meal, Scout embarrasses him by picking on his ways of eating.
Presuming every family in Maycomb functions in the same way, Scout—innocent yet outspoken, does not understand every family does not have a happy ending. Oblivious to the different types of “folks” living in Maycomb, Scout remains unaware of the ugliness prevalent in Maycomb.

MAYCOMB SHOWS IGNORANCE TOWARDS RADLEY'S
Lacking the knowledge about the Radley’s, Maycomb town gossipers, i.e. Stephanie Crawford, spread rumours. Unaware of the difference between right and wrong, Stephanie Crawford paints sinister descriptions of Arthur Boo Radley claiming to have seen him looking "straight through the window" at her. Furthermore, she claims his head was "like a skull" looking at her. These rumours are prominent throughout Maycomb County however the most notorious story is in which Boo supposedly "drove" the scissors into his father's leg, "pulled" them out, "wiped" them on his pants, and "resumed" his activities (Chapter 1). Spread around town, these stories are believed to be true however Maycomb Society is ignorant in regards to the Radley's since no one knows the complete story.
